I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. My relationship with modeling began with the Ms. Georgia Pageant. I hated the uncompromising structure of pageants, but loved the runway. When I hit the stage, I felt a tingle with each step, it was like magic. The pageant allowed me to get acquainted with my best asset, my legs. It seems Gillette agreed, as I was a legs model for the Atlanta tour date of the Mariah Carey Adventures of Mimi Tour. I have participated in several other promotional events, hair shows and fashion shows in New York, Georgia and California. While doing photo shoots for designers, I found another love, print modeling. I love photo shoots because they allow one to be a chameleon. You can be a seductive vixen, a bubbly swimwear model, a chic business executive, all at one shoot. That’s why models have to have acting abilities. We have to have the ability to display emotions nonverbally. I added “actress” to my after I landed my first acting audition as “Rebecca” in the SCAD short, “Dating Service.” Although, I enjoy the traveling and experience this industry allows, it is easy. You have to stand strong in your skin, because this industry doesn’t always appreciate individuality. This is an industry of smoking mirrors, you have to love who you are under the makeup, big hair and designer clothes.
